Senior Devops Lead Engineer

Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant in the Sandton area.

The role involves providing continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical / operational levels, completing financial accounting reports, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

Assist in the transition from HFM to Onestream reporting, responsible for F3 activities.

Participate in process and system enhancements, including Power BI and Onestream, and assist in creating new financial policies and procedures.

Ensure accuracy of GL account mapping across financial reporting systems.

Manage statutory reporting, including planning, monitoring, and coordinating the Business Unit's year-end and half-year end processes, and preparing financial statements.

Conduct research and assist with accounting and disclosure issues, including statutory returns and support for accounting treatments.

Provide financial information to external and internal auditors.

Serve as the interface between the Energy financial reporting and management accounting teams.

Maintain detailed understanding of financial reporting tools such as HFM / OneStream, Power BI, and the Sasol accounting manual.

Prepare the Business Unit reporting pack and assist with statutory reporting deliverables during half-year and year-end.

Oversee month-end reporting, including compilation of budgets and forecasts in HFM / Onestream, and provide financial information for reporting purposes.

Support adhoc requests during month-end, forecast, and budget periods.

Ensure compliance with controls over financial reporting, perform SOX controls, and participate in SOX testing.

Assist in tax support activities, including preparing tax returns, supporting income and deferred tax calculations, and collaborating with BU Tax advisors.

Manage and develop team members, ensuring accurate and timely results, supporting succession planning and career growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

6+ years of relevant experience.

Proven technical financial reporting skills.

Working knowledge of SAP.

Current knowledge of IFRS, the Companies Act, and Tax regulations.
