The purpose of the role is to support the Supply Chain Development team by applying data science methods, and rigorous mathematical analysis to enable quick decision making in the implementation of Supply Chain projects. The role also supports capacity planning, optimisation, and forecasting.

This position reports to the Supply Chain Analytics Manager.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to :
Identify opportunities where data science methods will significantly improve the Supply Chain division’s performance in the areas of forecasting, capacity planning, scenario modelling, process optimisation, complex analysis and reportingProviding high quality analysis to the Supply Chain Development team working across all Supply Chain projectsProviding inputs for the further development of Supply Chain network model and strategy in conjunction with the Analytics team and wider Supply Chain divisionBridging gap between problems cases and data, from multiple data inputs and systemsPlan, prioritise and manage a roadmap of work that maximises value‑add with limited timeDevelop solutions according to the roadmap using appropriate methods, depending on the problemMeasure, report and continuously improve model performanceWork closely with the Analytics team to brainstorm, identify opportunities and guide the roadmapCommunicate opportunities and solutions effectively to relevant stakeholdersCollaborate and share knowledge with the analytics teams across the companyAttributes required :
Proficiency in Data Analysis and using statistical methods in R and PythonProficient at gathering and wrangling big data sets from various sources including, SQL databases, cloud services, APIs and Excel / Google SheetsProficient with advanced methods for regression, optimisation, classification and unsupervised learning problemsGood communications skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiencesStrong business acumenCompetence working with AI models & prompt engineeringExcellent work ethic and ability to multitaskAbility to identify problems, demonstrate the use of initiative and implement appropriate solutionsAbility to understand supply chain issues and drive solutionsAbility to prioritise, manage and complete projects under a deadlineQualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics & Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or similarMaster’s Degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics or similar highly beneficialMinimum 4 years experience within a Data Analytics or Data Science roleMinimum 4 years experience using statistical methods (regression, forecasting and modelling) in Python or RMinimum 4 years SQL scripting experienceMinimum 2 years experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau and LookerExperience within a Supply Chain, retail / ecommerce industry or similar would be highly beneficialBe part of the extraordinary.
