This role is ideal for experienced technical writers, researchers, or journalists who can translate their skills into producing persuasive tender documents.Minimum Qualifications Required : Matric PassBachelor's degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Communications, Research, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related fieldProficiency in Word and Excel at least at intermediate levelExperience : Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical writing, research, journalism, or a writing or research related fieldExperience with tender writing or proposal writing is an advantage but not essentialRequirements to be Successful in the Role : Strong understanding of writing processes, research methodologies, and documentation standardsExceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and professional documentsExcellent research skills with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sourcesHighly organized with strong project management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with tender management software will be advantageousStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersKey Responsibilities : Analyse tender requirements and work closely with internal stakeholders to understand client needsDevelop high-quality tender documentation tailored to each opportunity, ensuring accuracy and complianceCoordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and supporting tender documentation, reviewing for clarity and coherenceMaintain a comprehensive database of tender opportunities and outcomes for reporting and analysisProactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and tender success ratesStay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve tender documentation process and tender successPersonal Competencies : Analytical Proficiency : Ability to accurately discern client needs and analyse tender requirementsEffective Communication and Relationship Building : Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersPrecise and Compelling Writing : Proficiency in producing clear, high-quality documentation that exceeds standardsTime Management : Expertise in managing time effectively to meet submission deadlinesCoordination Ability : Skill in coordinating with teams for supporting documentation and meeting submission requirementsAttention to Detail : Ability to conduct thorough reviews ensuring clarity, coherence, and complianceDatabase Maintenance : Capability to maintain a comprehensive database for reporting and analysisStakeholder Engagement : Proficiency in monitoring progress and addressing queries during the tender processHow to Apply : Read through the job description above.
