The main purpose of the job is to aid the cluster / chief operations manager, while adhering to company policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Fleet management : Ensuring company vehicles are serviced and maintained according to standards and company policy
• People Management : To lead, develop, motivate, and manage the performance of the team and ensure an optimally skilled, motivated, and high‑performance team
• Procurement, stock control and merchandising : To ensure that the department runs smoothly, products are purchased in line with the company\'s procurement policies and procedures, stock levels are kept at optimal levels and stock losses are controlled
• Customer Services : Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with in an effective manner and resolved
• Maintenance of workshop : Ensuring that the workshop is always maintained in a neat and tidy condition; daily checks regarding maintenance and accuracy of machinery
• Planning : Ensure forecast and planning is done to ensure maximum efficiency of vehicles
• Fuel dispensing, control & planning : Planning over fuel consumption and usage; control over fuel dispensing and record keeping
