Job DescriptionVacuum Plant Operator (Fixed term 6 months)Main purpose : To operate the vacuum plantResponsibilities : Operate equipment as per the SOPsControl the Vacuum Plant by means of the central computer systemAssist in identifying appropriate Corrective Action where necessaryReport on wastageConduct necessary checksRectify and report all deviations to SupervisorEnsure that all Safety Regulations are adhered to and report any unsafe practices / hazards to SupervisorAdhere to Personal and Factory Standards in respect of hygieneEnsure equipment and work area are cleanBasic first line maintenanceAdhere to HACCP principlesQualifications : A minimum of 2 years' experience as an operator in the Vacuum PlantAbility to read and understand SOPsFunctionally computer literateFunctionally literate and numerateConduct all procedural checks and execute SOPAccuracy and attention to detailUnderstands goals and objectives as explained by SupervisorMay operate multiple pieces of equipmentMust be a team playerMust be prepared to work shifts and overtimeWillingness to be trained and multi-skilledAbout Us : Tiger Brands is proudly Africa's largest listed manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
