Job Title : Business Operations Assistant

Location : Remote (Preferred candidates from South Africa)

Employment Type : Full-Time 12pm-8pm UK time (30-40 hours per week)

A rapidly growing logistics company with a team of 35-40 employees, specializing in transport and logistics services. The company is actively expanding through business acquisitions and is seeking an experienced professional to support operations, streamline recruitment processes, and assist with business acquisitions.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations & Business Support Specialist to handle essential administrative tasks, driver recruitment, and business acquisition support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, and has excellent communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Logistics & Administrative Support

Manage driver pay data entry and reporting (weekly task, 2-3 hours)

Oversee driver recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling (15-20 hours per week)

Handle general administrative tasks to improve workflow efficiency

Business Acquisition Support

Assist with research on potential business acquisitions

Coordinate and follow up on information requests

Maintain organized documentation and track deal progress

Operational Coordination

Ensure smooth execution of recruitment processes and internal operations

Collaborate with high-value employees to offload repetitive tasks

Improve overall efficiency by managing administrative workload

Ideal Candidate Profile :

Experience : 4-7 years in business operations, administrative support, or a similar role

Industry Background : Experience business operations preferred (industry doesn't matter too much - having logistics / transportation experience is a plus)

Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in data entry, reporting, and coordination tools (specific tech stack to be discussed)

Soft Skills : Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks

Recruitment Experience : Prior experience handling candidate sourcing and scheduling is a plus

M&A Experience : Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is a big win
