Compliance Officer – Immigration Services | Remote | Immediate Start

We’re hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading Australian immigration services company dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their goals of moving and settling abroad. Known for their deep expertise and commitment to ethical, transparent, and compliant practices, they are expanding their team to support growing operations — and are seeking a Compliance Officer to uphold the highest standards of regulatory integrity in their Vanuatu-based services.

What You’ll Do

  • Regulatory Oversight : Monitor and interpret changes in Vanuatu’s immigration laws, policies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure all services remain fully compliant.
  • Case File Audits : Conduct regular and thorough audits of client files and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to all legal and procedural requirements.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential compliance risks, implement internal controls, and develop strategies to prevent non-compliance.
  • Policy Development : Assist in creating and enforcing company-wide compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are well-communicated and followed across teams.
  • Training & Education : Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance standards, best practices, and new regulations to promote a culture of compliance.
  • Liaison : Act as a key contact for regulatory bodies and legal counsel on compliance matters as needed.
  • Reporting : Prepare and deliver accurate, timely compliance reports to management, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, ideally in the immigration, legal, or financial services industry.
  • Proven expertise in Vanuatu’s regulatory framework, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations to guide business strategy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to risk management and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience guiding clients through complex compliance requirements.
  • Executive-level English communication skills — both written and verbal — for professional interaction with high-net-worth international clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in a fast-paced, global team environment.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to leverage modern business tools and AI to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or professional certification is a strong plus.
