Assistant Compounder

Job descriptionManufacturing soap and body products under supervision. Continuously improving manufacturing processes through innovative solutions. Maintaining equipment and adhering to processes in full compliance with guidelines. Participating in team projects and supporting other departments. Ensuring delivery of quality products and complying with good manufacturing practice (GMP). Adhering to health and safety procedures. Continuously building and supporting a sound quality assurance culture aligned to GMP and the company’s continuous improvement system (5S). Assisting with hosting soap workshops. Sampling raw materials received and products manufactured and keeping retention samples. Performing routine pH testing and standard calculations to operate a scale (balance). Stock control and monitoring. Equipment monitoring and alerting senior colleagues of any breakage, malfunctioning or discrepancies. Contributing to efficient running of the department by attending daily production meetings. Following standard operating procedures and good housekeeping procedures.

Requirements
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated competency in mathematical calculations.
- Experience in this field would be advantageous, as well as an interest in soap and body products.
- A quality-driven individual with good planning, organisational, execution and monitoring skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Action and results oriented, with the ability to multitask.
- Assertive, proactive and resilient.
