Job description5 years’ experience as Mine Overseer Proven track record of meeting and or improving monthly production and safety targets Inclined and horizontal development ends Sound knowledge of conventional and trackless development Have knowledge and understanding of Contract management Maintain and submit daily production & financial reports to Mine Manager Proper planning to ensure optimization of resources to maximize safe production output Ensure the standardization, accuracy, and authenticity of information Closely monitor the production performance as per the targets Identify production shortfalls and put recovery plans in place Controlling costs Perform regular underground visits to monitor the conditions and provide expert opinion Conduct monthly production planning meetings to set realistic targets and focus areas Conduct excellent Legal knowledge for underground mining Ensure introduction of safety and health initiatives which conform to company objectives Ensure healthy client relationship Ensure compliance with HR policies & procedures To lead a team of decline development crews Organize materials and stores Labour control
Minimum Requirements
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency
- Blasting Certificate
- Matric certificate / equivalent
- MS Office Proficiency
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable own vehicle
- Medically Fit
