Senior Associate, Liquid Market Transparency Data
MSCI Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate, Liquid Market Transparency Data. This role focuses on the aggregation and reporting of exposures and positions of underlying portfolio company investments of private capital investment partnerships, compiling data from direct fund manager reporting and other sources for institutional asset owner clients to support transparency, portfolio composition analysis, and risk assessment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage production workflows across client deliverables and fund-level data queries. Acquire deep understanding of the TPM platform and the full PCS data suite (including Private Capital and Liquid Markets).
- Serve as a point of escalation and lead investigator for data-related issues and reconciliation projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement for recurring and ad-hoc data requests.
- Act as liaison to client service and client stakeholders, delivering timely updates and solutions.
- Lead initiatives for data quality improvement, automation, and process optimization.
- Produce tracking tools, operational templates, and project documentation.
- Mentor analysts and associate-level contributors on best practices and execution standards.
- Contribute insights to product enhancement and client onboarding processes.
Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel
Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines)Minimum 4 years of experience in finance, investment operations, accounting, or client reportingProven ability to manage teams, projects, and client expectations concurrentlyExcellent analytical thinking and attention to detail in high-pressure environmentsStrong communication skills, with experience handling client or cross-functional communicationProficiency in Microsoft Excel; additional knowledge of databases or scripting is a plusProgress toward CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or FRM is advantageousExperience with training, client presentations, or process design is a plusAbout MSCI
