We’re seeking a Finance & Support Services Manager (Financial Controller)—a qualified CA(SA) who will own finance end-to-end and coordinate key support areas (logistics, IT, HR, legal / compliance, administration, tax). The role is hands-on and systems-driven, suited to someone who can move seamlessly between operational detail and strategic planning.
You’ll be the steady link between numbers, processes, and people—bringing clarity, cadence, and support so teams can do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Take full responsibility for accounting operations across multiple entities, with support from a bookkeeper and outsourced service providers.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting aligned with IFRS and South African GAAP.
- Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and treasury management.
- Manage statutory filings, audits, and SARS relations with a high standard of accuracy.
- Support Services Integration
- Coordinate the work of cross-functional support departments (Finance, HR, IT, Legal / Compliance, Logistics, Administration).
- Introduce systems and processes that bring consistency and accountability without stifling initiative.
- Support department heads in planning, cost management, and compliance.
- Build bridges between operational teams and Managership — translating financial data into clear actions.
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and board packs for South Africa and Group management in the UAE.
- Ensure timely and insightful communication of business performance.
- Contribute to business planning and decision-making through analytical, data-driven insight.
Requirements :
CA(SA) with 2–4 years post-articles experience (ideally including audit or manufacturing exposure).Demonstrated ability to design and implement control environments in growing businesses.Strong understanding of South African tax, IFRS, and Companies Act requirements.Confident communicator with the maturity to influence strong, experienced peers.Practical, grounded, and solutions-oriented — able to Manager through collaboration, not hierarchy.Comfortable working across varied disciplines and managing through others.What You’ll Gain
