About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Export Operations Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily export operations, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, producers, and clients.
This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal work environment and can balance accuracy, initiative, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Update daily exchange rates for USD, CAD, GBP, and EUR on QX
- File completed PLG packages and maintain accurate records
- Update shipment dates on QX using Producer Ally shipment reports
- Run “Producer per setup” report and notify Finance once updated
- Save and manage shipment reports under BI Reports
- Maintain and update codes on QX (vessels, packing codes, varieties, producers, consignees, payment terms, etc.)
- Request outstanding loading documents from Producer Ally and loading point facilities
- Request Loaded on Board (L.O.B.) status to proceed with invoicing consignees
- Perform any additional operational support tasks as required
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric (a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Agriculture or Business will be advantageous)1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within an export companyStrong organisational and communication skillsExcellent computer literacy (especially MS Excel and MS Office )Comfortable working in fast-paced, seasonal work cyclesExperience with EDI / export systems will be advantageousPersonal Attributes & Work Ethic
