Overview
The purpose of this position is to own and manage the Group consolidation workbook and Group Reporting Pack on a monthly and annual basis, supporting the delivery of all internal and external reporting responsibilities within the Finance function and providing Finance reporting for key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Construction of an effective monthly and annual consolidation workbook where appropriate, underpinned by relevant supporting schedules with a clearly defined audit trail for all items
- Production and management of financial reports to be provided to key stakeholders, including but not limited to;
- Monthly management accounts
- Cash flow reporting
- Interim and Year-end reporting
- Regulatory and statutory reporting and filings
- Provide insightful information to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Assist in managing the successful delivery of statutory company and group audits
- Develop models and reporting to meet the demands of the business
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures across the group
- Identify and implement (where suitable) process and control improvements across all areas of Finance
- Provide leadership and direction to support the achievement of the company mission, vision and values
- Lead with ad-hoc project work as and when requiredDemonstrate leadership skills in interactions with the wider Finance team and other stakeholders
- Appreciate and encourage the work of the team, increasing productivity and motivation
- Assist in managing the training & development needs of team members

Chartered Accountant - CA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a background in Audit
Experience
3+ years’ experience in a Finance Manager (or similar) roleStrong knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, legislation and best practiceRelevant industry experience with strong understanding of internal controls frameworks and a track record of effectively executing meaningful changeStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAccepting applications for Durban OR Cape Town office
