  • Managing operational activities of Netcare Education which will require alignment to the Netcare goals of broadening access to healthcare in South Africa specifically and to the vision of being a market leader in nursing and healthcare related education.
  • Provide input into the design of education related systems to streamline work processes.Technological enablement
  • Ensure technological enablement with innovative as well as accepted business processes.Research activities
  • Manage, coordinate and ensure the facilitation and production of research within Netcare and Netcare Education and collaboratively with other institutions.Compliance
  • Ensure Netcare group compliance to and administration of to all relevant education and legislative bodies.

  • BEST AND SAFEST PATIENT CARE
  • Academic management
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and report on academic processes, procedures, systems, activities and any other related function.
  • Project Management of courseware development processes with lecturers and content authors.
  • Manage all nursing education and related education and training activities according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of Netcare and Netcare Education.
  • Manage, advise, and influence the delivery of cost-effective quality education.
  • EDUCATION
  • Required
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Midwife / Professional Nurse.
  • A Bachelors degree.
  • A Master’s Degree / In the process of completion of a Master’s Degree and complete qualification within the prescribed academic period.
  • Additional qualification in Nursing Education.
  • A qualification in another Post Basic Specialty.
  • Management qualification.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Required
  • Education Expertise.
  • Previous experience in a management role.
  • Experience in operational and tactical management.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder relationship management.
  • Research proficiency.
  • Strong and persuasive negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite.
  • KNOWLEDGE
  • Required
  • In-depth knowledge and ability to implement academic, educational, and business management principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of legislative and business climate pertaining to general and nursing education.Preferred
  • Knowledge of government and private partnerships.
