Qualification Requirements

Grade 12

Studying towards a National Diploma : Food Technology final year

Tertiary institution logbook stipulating the relevant exposure and experience needed

Experience Requirements

Basic understanding of laboratory practices

Laboratory safety & handling of chemicals

Good understanding of OHS

Proactive communication skills

Strong numerical ability

Strong teamwork ability

Understanding housekeeping and ensuring proactive implementation thereof

Taking accountability for tasks

Learning aptitude

Key Outputs

Prepare chemicals for analysis

Testing of product samples

Reporting of all results timeously

General housekeeping and participating in all lab processes and activities

Equipment calibration and verification

Shift hygiene, plant inspection and housekeeping

Reporting of operational non- conformities

Equipment verification

Product sample collection and submission to the lab

Weight verification

Shift start up and end of shift QC consolidation.

Product and packing QC verification batch codes, labelling, etc
