Instrumentation Technician

Job descriptionMinimum 5 years’ post-trade experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Solid knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB Delta, Mitsubishi, Schneider, B&R, Bosch Rexroth) Proficient in electrical fault-finding, panel wiring, and motor control systems Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and SCADA systems is advantageous Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting Ability to work shifts, overtime, and standby as operationally required Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance on production machinery. Install, repair, and calibrate sensors, PLCs, drives, and automated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns with minimal downtime. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure plant efficiency. Assist with control system upgrades and continuous improvement projects. Ensure compliance with the OHS ACT, company safety protocols and electrical standards
Instrumentation Technician required for a renowned packaging company based in East London
Qualifications :
- Trade Tested Electrician with an Instrumentation specialization (Red Seal preferred).
- N6 in Electrical Engineering preferable
