Overview
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics modules and supervise student projects up to the Postgraduate Diploma level in Mathematical Sciences, contribute to curriculum development in Mathematical Sciences (especially post-Diploma qualifications), while providing support to the Department in teaching and learning, work integrated learning, service learning, and research.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics or a doctoral degree in Mathematics with a demonstrable focus on Applied Mathematics
- At least 4 years’ relevant working experience, including two years teaching experience in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics at the Higher Education level
- Demonstrable skills and experience in Data Science (data cleaning and data analysis) in software such as Python, R, or SAS
- Research and postgraduate supervision commensurate with Institutional requirements
- Experience in curriculum development
