Battery Technician

The purpose of this position is to assemble and repair lithium-ion & lead-acid batteries and chargers in a cost-efficient manner by using the correct equipment to the required industry and safety standards and to assist with other duties.

To successfully perform this role, the incumbent must be able to carry out each essential duty and key performance area effectively. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and may be adjusted or supplemented in line with business requirements :

• Assemble new batteries, ensuring correct layout and polarity.
• Cut and use packing materials appropriately to secure cells within tanks.
• Place the correct cells into the designated tanks according to machine specifications.
• Clean, paint, and mark steel tanks as required.
• Perform acid adjustments when necessary.
• Complete battery assembly within specified timeframes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Deliver batteries and chargers as needed.
