Job descriptionProvide oversight and transparency on overall IT infrastructure and solutions Manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems Implement and maintain suitable application and software management solutions Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols and mitigation strategies to protect member information and organizational assets Oversee the development of data analytics capabilities to enable data driven decision-making Prioritise data management, storage, and governance to support strategic insights and business intelligence Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards Provide IT governance and ensure systems adhere to internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards Ensure GS1 standards are implemented across systems for product identification, barcoding, and global data synchronization Support integration with the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) to maintain accurate and real-time product data Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners to ensure value, performance, and alignment with strategic goals Negotiate contracts and oversee service-level agreements (SLAs) Provide technical support and advisory services across departments Collaborate with internal teams to understand and support their technology needs Explore new technologies and solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency Stay current with technological trends and advancements to inform strategic planning Bachelor’s degree IT / Computer Science Degree mandatory Related Business degree advantageous Minimum 10 years of senior IT leadership experience, including strategic planning and enterprise architecture, with a focus on not-for-profit or membership-based organisations, cross-industry experience, e.g. FMCG, Retail, PharmaCare, not-for profit-oriented organisation preferred Proven experience in digital transformation, infrastructure management, and data analytics Experience with supply chain standards and the GS1 system is a distinct advantage Demonstrated success in vendor management, cybersecurity, and cross functional leadership Proven knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Dynamics CE / CRM, and website management Strategic Vision & Innovation Technical Expertise & Execution Business Acumen & Insight Risk Management & Compliance Collaborative Leadership Change Management & Agility
Overview :
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational execution, and governance of the organisation’s technology and information systems. This includes oversight of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and vendor management. The CIO ensures that technology investments align with business objectives and regulatory standards, including GS1 compliance for data integrity and supply chain interoperability. The CIO serves as a key advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee (EXCO), providing insight and leadership on digital transformation, innovation, and enterprise-wide information strategy.
