The Faculty  is looking for dedicated online TEFL tutors in South Africa to join our team and make a difference in global education.

The Role

  • Independent Contractor Agreement (Remote).
  • No guaranteed teaching hours.
  • Shift options :

    • Mon-Fri 07 : 00-16 : 00 SAST

  • Mon-Fri 15 : 00-00 : 00 SAST
  • Mon-Fri 22 : 00-07 : 00 SAST
  • Thu-Sun 07 : 00-16 : 00 SAST
  • Thu-Sun 15 : 00-00 : 00 SAST
  • Thu-Sun 22 : 00-07 : 00 SAST
  • Sat-Wed 07 : 00-16 : 00 SAST
  • Sat-Wed 15 : 00-00 : 00 SAST
  • Sat-Wed 22 : 00-07 : 00 SAST
  • Variable schedule based on operational needs within predefined time frames.
  • Advance notification of your schedule.

    • Your Responsibilities

  • Teach students  using engaging, conversational teaching methodologies.
  • Inspire and support students  in reaching their language goals.
  • Provide constructive feedback  and effective error correction.
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions  that foster meaningful interaction.

    • Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

  • National Senior Certificate  (Matric) or equivalent (a bachelor's degree in any field is advantageous).
  • 3-months  of teaching  experience  (formal or informal) is advantageous.
  • 120-hour TEFL / TESOL certificate .
  • Excellent English proficiency ( neutral accent ).
  • Strong computer literacy and troubleshooting skills.

    • Connectivity :

  • Stable  FIBRE internet connection  (minimum  25 Mbps  upload / download).
  • LAN cable connection  (no Wi-Fi).

    • PC Specifications :

  • Intel® Core™ i5 6th Gen processor (or equivalent).
  • Quad-core CPU (4-cores)
  • 8GB RAM.

    • Backup Power :

    UPS or Portable Power Station (4–5 hours battery life).

  • Mini-UPS for your fibre router (4–5 hours battery life).

    • Other Requirements :

    Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam ( backup recommended ).

  • Quiet, well-lit, professional workspace.
