About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and design-savvy Virtual Design Assistant to join our team. This role provides essential support to our designers, requiring a strong balance of creative and technical skills. The ideal candidate is not only organized and proactive but also a problem solver with an inherent design sensibility.

As a key representative of the Design Studio, this individual should embody professionalism, responsiveness, and a warm, collaborative approach with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop furniture plans and elevations using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
Create visually compelling design presentations using InDesign, Google Slides, or PowerPoint.
Prepare detailed soft furnishings budgets and maintain comprehensive finish schedules in Excel and InDesign.
Generate and manage invoices in QuickBooks.
Oversee procurement of goods and services, ensuring quality and value.
Open and maintain trade accounts while fostering relationships with vendors.
Coordinate deliveries to ensure timely and efficient receipt of goods.
Order and organize sample materials for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

Hard Skills :

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).

Strong skills in Excel for budgets and schedules.

Experience with presentation software (e.g., InDesign, Google Slides, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with QuickBooks for invoicing (preferred).

Soft Skills :

Strong sense of design and attention to detail.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to switch fluidly between creative and technical tasks.

Highly organized and responsive, with excellent follow-up habits.

Patient, honest, and a positive team player.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points :

Experience in the interior design industry.

Knowledge of current design trends and materials.

Familiarity with procurement processes.
