2026 FET Phase Cambridge IGCSE level History and Geography Teacher (Midrand Secondary)

Overview

Nova Pioneer is looking for a History and Geography Teacher to start in January 2026 for the 2026 FET Phase Cambridge IGCSE level at Midrand Secondary. This is a teacher role within a dynamic network of schools that emphasizes enquiry-based learning to develop independent thinkers and leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design rigorous, enquiry-based lesson plans
• Prepare students to sit IGCSE level exams
• Deliver engaging enquiry-based lessons supported by technology
• Observe, coach and model effective teaching for new teachers
• Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons
• Set and communicate rigorous goals and provide feedback to students
• Assess student progress and use data to adjust instruction
• Attend weekly feedback meetings with Deans and learning designers
• Participate in professional growth activities and collaboration across teams
• Communicate regularly with parents via email, phone, and conferences
• Contribute to co-curricular programming
• Participate in committees and supervision duties as assigned
