Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and manage enterprise-level backup and recovery strategies.
  • Implement and maintain Microsoft failover clusters and Hyper-V environments.
  • Administer and optimize SAN and NAS storage solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure backup coverage.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on all backup-related issues.

Job Experience and Skills Required :

  • Education : Relevant IT qualification or Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience : Proven background in enterprise backup and recovery engineering.
  • Skills :

    • Proficiency in Microsoft clustering technologies (Failover clustering and Hyper-V).

  • Experience with SAN / NAS storage management.
  • Hands-on knowledge of at least one mainstream backup software (Veeam Commvault Veritas NetBackup Acronis or Rubrik).
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting documentation and communication skills.
  • Preferred : Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Veeam VMCE or Commvault Certified Professional.
  • Additional Advantage : Experience with cloud-based backup (Azure / AWS) and scripting (PowerShell and Bash).
