Main Purpose

Responsible for provision of full human resources services to all Trafigura entities in the African Region.

Ensuring smooth tactical deployment of Global policies & processes, with input in design thereof (e.g. Talent Management & / or Performance Management & / or Recruitment, Benefits initiatives...). Partnering with local GMs and providing technical HR expertise to local HR to promote on-going knowledge and skill development, and global team spirit.

Consolidation of regional HR data and performance metrics for measuring effectiveness of HR initiatives and function in driving organizational performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced knowledge and experience with unions and unionised work force, in an operations environment.

Suitable candidates should hold a university degree in HRM and a minimum of 7 years experience, in both corporate White collar HR and Unionised Blue collar workforce.

Knowledge of Human Resources related programs, processes, tools, policies and guidelines and their application to complex organizational issues.

Knowledge of organizational concepts, including : team management, organizational design, resource utilization and workforce planning.

Proven experience in dealing with HR matters related to acquisitions and its derived components for the HR function (e.g. experience in due diligence, restructuring, among others).

Union Negotiations and Substantiative agreements.

Recruitment plays a critical role in the hiring process, needing outstanding communication skills to engage with individuals from a range of backgrounds. You should be confident in clearly communicating complex information and requirements to hiring managers and potential candidates.Computer Skills (MS Office)
