A well-established FMCG company is looking for a Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Finance Director SEA (South East Africa), you will be accountable for the management, control, and reporting of the Financial Accounting Department, Annual Statutory Financial Statements, Company Tax, and Insurance.

You will enforce internal and external financial policies and procedures and Corporate Governance.

Responsibilities

• Verify and substantiate Credit Control for Financial Business Reporting.
• Approve Accounts Payable Templates.
• Approve Weekly Treasury File (Cash Flow Management).
• Submit Corporate Insurance Packages and ensure comprehensive business cover.
• Liaise with and Report for SA Reserve Bank & Statistics SA.
• Ensure business decisions are based on reliable financial information, timely payments, and reducing company risk.
• Prepare Statutory Annual Financial Statements for the South Africa business.
• Stay abreast of International Financial Reporting Requirements.
• Liaise with External Auditors for the Year-End Audit & Independent Review.
• Ensure a true reflection of annual consolidated financial information & that all financial deadlines are met.
• Prepare and monitor Company Corporate Tax, calculate provisional and full-year tax.
• Prepare Entity's Tax Schedules & check accuracy of Tax Returns.
• Confirm Submission of Tax Returns & report on Entities' Tax Compliance.
• Responsible for Annual Country-by-Country and Japanese Controlled Foreign Companies Reporting.
• Ensure legislative requirements in respect of Transfer Pricing are met.
• Enforce Segregation of Duties & identify opportunities for Annual MRI 7 Verifications.
• Execute Management WalkThrough for JSOX and Swiss SOX.
• Complete CIPC Submissions.
• Minimize Business Risk.
• Special Projects : execute and manage identified projects, monitor process, approve and sign off, ensure group complies consistently with international specifications.
• Backup Responsibilities : check and confirm People & Culture Department's Salary Related Calculations.
