MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Production Manager role or similar within the fruit packing industry.
- Experience working with mechanical sizer is beneficial
- Relevant operations or agricultural qualification is advantageous

Operations
Monitor the weekly packing and pre-sorting plan, and daily packing programsEnsure relevant quality controls are in place, adhere to and meet customer expectationsProductivity monitoring and improvementControl process to ensure ordering of materials match packing requirementsEnsure that stock control processes and transactions are in line with systems requirements and best practicesEnsure efficient packing process that optimise the use of resources and achieve set capacity and productivity levelsVerifying stock availability and investigating delaysExecuting production plansComputing the quantities, qualities and types of materials required by production programmes.Controlling expenditure and ensuring the efficient use of resourcesOversee chemical stock and overseeing the mixture thereofLiaise with maintenance team to ensure effective functioning of pack houseMust be willing to work irregular hours, including night shift.Quality and Compliance
