Job Description

SA Rugby is looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Account Manager to join the team on a one-year contract. This role supports the delivery of commercial partnerships, ensuring value, visibility, and seamless rights execution across national and international platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with commercial partners
  • Deliver contractual rights across teams, events, and campaigns
  • Protect partner rights and manage commercial activity compliance
  • Act as primary point of contact for partners and stakeholders
  • Conduct regular partner check-ins and performance feedback sessions
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure rights delivery
  • Support sponsorship renewals and sales initiatives
  • Manage event-related commercial rights and branding rollouts
  • Work closely with Legal, Marketing, Communications, and Rugby departments
  • Maintain rights matrices, reporting, and commercial documentation
  • Manage budget items linked to commercial delivery and provide updates

  • Diploma in Sales Management or Marketing (Essential)
  • Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience managing commercial or sponsorship rights (Essential)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in budget management (Essential)

  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Project management and social media understanding
  • Computer literacy and valid driver's license
