RPOs client is seeking an experienced and driven SHE Specialist to oversee Health Safety and Environmental operations at their Chloorkop facility. This role is ideal for a compliance-focused professional with a passion for creating safe work environments and a strong understanding of regulatory standards risk assessments and behavioural safety practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily HSE compliance at the site ensuring adherence to OSH Act and ISO 45001
Conduct incident investigations audits risk assessments and compliance inspections
Review contractor SHE plans and ensure effective safety protocols are implemented
Lead daily toolbox talks monitor site safety behaviour and drive safety performance metrics
Maintain up-to-date HSE files and documentation ensuring accurate recordkeeping
Provide regular feedback to management and assist with SHEQ-related initiatives
Promote a culture of safety awareness through training inspections and daily engagement
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Occupational Health Safety Environment or Quality Management
5 years of SHE experience in an industrial or construction environment
Working knowledge of ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 standards
Strong understanding of South African OSH Act and construction regulations
Solid risk assessment audit and SHE system implementation experience
Excellent communication leadership and reporting skills
