Job descriptionGrade 12 and N2 Technical Certificate. Qualified Fitter & Turner Artisan . At least 2 years’ experience in fitting, turning, and machining. Basic rigging experience an advantage. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Fitter & Turner / Machinist
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and test machinery for safety and reliability.
- Report equipment defects and repair time estimates.
- Perform repairs and maintenance per standard practices.
- Operate hand tools and machine parts to specifications.
- Create CNC programmes from drawings or components .
- Manufacture components on CNC machines as per specs.
- Inspect and rig heavy components safely with overhead cranes.
- Ensure ISO, health, safety, and environmental compliance .
- Maintain housekeeping in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
