Function Pharmacy Facility Position Pharmacy Porter Introduction
A vacancy exists for a Porter in our Pharmacy Department , based at Life Groenkloof Hospital reporting to the Senior Pharmacist . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health / Nursing legislation.
Critical Outputs
- To collect and record all prescription cards, credits and requisitions from the wards.
- To deliver prescriptions cards with medication and credits to the wards safely and accurately.
- To ensure To Follow medication is delivered to the correct ward and the relevant ward staff member records their signature on receipt.
- To record and deliver ethical and surgical stock to wards safely, securely and timeously.
- Assist with lifting and picking of stock / boxes for distribution to wards / theatres.
- Maintenance of the Pharmacy including cleanliness and neatness of the Pharmacy.
- General administrative functions as requested
