Job description

VACANCY : Electrician (PLC)

Requirements :

  • Red Seal Installation Electrician (Section 13 or 26D) Essential.
  • Wiremans License (Registered with Dept. of Employment and Labour) Essential.
  • National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • 35 years experience in manufacturing or industrial work.
  • Strong knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and South African electrical regulations.
  • Proficient with testing instruments (multimeter, insulation tester, loop tester).
  • Advantage : Solar PV installation knowledge and software.

Key Duties :

  • Install, maintain and commission electrical systems, wiring and DB boards.
  • Issue and sign Certificates of Compliance (CoCs).
  • Perform inspections, testing and fault-finding under pressure.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act and company safety protocols.
  • Liaise with clients and supervisors to ensure successful project delivery.
