Maintenance Planner

Position : Maintenance Planner

Location : Cape Town, South Africa

Hire Resolve's client, a leader in the field of precision mechanical manufacturing with its origins in the field of the defense industry, is looking for a Maintenance Planner who will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities :

• Create detailed schedules for inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacements.
• Develop check sheets aligned with manuals and incorporate them into the PM system.
• Tailor maintenance intervals based on usage, recommendations, and historical data.
• Generate work orders based on SAP schedules.
• Incorporate predictive maintenance technologies for early issue detection.
• Establish and communicate maintenance standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with manufacturers for updated maintenance procedures.
• Create maintenance procedures / manuals as needed.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement preventive measures.
• Use FMEA to assess potential failures and prioritize preventative actions.
• Regularly review and update preventative maintenance plans based on feedback and data.
• Maintain a spare parts inventory with defined sources and lead times.
