Job descriptionMinimum of 15 years experience as a Registered Nurse. Experience dealing with the elderly / within geriatrics is essential. Must be able to function under pressure and in an emergency situation. Able to manage staff. Fluent in Afrikaans and English Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills Professional, proactive, and innovative leadership Committed to continuous learning and staff development Computer literate (MS Word and Excel) Team-oriented and collaborative Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends and assist with an emergency (no night shifts).

Job Description
- Report directly to the Nursing Services Manager
- Manage quality nursing care in line with the Older Persons Act 13 of 2006
- Ensure compliance with Department of Social Development requirements
- Implement and manage nursing policies and procedures
- Oversee nursing staff complement, leave, absenteeism, and performance
- Conduct assessments and develop integrated care plans
- Maintain high nursing standards across mid-, frail-, Alzheimers-, and dementia care
- Manage wound care, medication administration, and oxygen / nebulisation
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care plans
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Coordinate with other departments and service providers
Qualifications
South African citizen.
SANC-registered nurse.
Certificate in Geriatric Nursing would be advantageous.
