Overview :

Our client in the Financial Services sector is looking for a highly experienced Data Governance Specialist to lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview as the strategic platform for Finance data governance and management. The successful candidate will operationalise governance disciplines across the Finance function ensuring full integration of metadata lineage and data quality capabilities in alignment with the Group Data Governance Framework and Medallion Architecture objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement Microsoft Purview as the central data governance platform for the Finance division.
• Deliver end-to-end data management capabilities ensuring practical adoption and integration within the Finance data landscape.
• Establish and maintain the Finance data catalogue capturing comprehensive metadata and classification linked to core finance capabilities.
• Develop and standardise a business glossary aligned with Group-wide finance terminology.
• Document and maintain full data lineage across systems ensuring traceability and transparency.
• Define and implement data quality frameworks including issue identification monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data and information security standards including documentation of RACI relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
• Advance data reconciliation and control processes to strengthen data accuracy and integrity.
• Leverage existing metadata documentation and align implementation with existing governance artefacts.
• Provide governance assurance evidence and documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
