Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Junior Core Engineer role based in Pretoria. Responsibilities include supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Splizr Networks’ core network infrastructure to ensure seamless operation and robust connectivity for clients. The Junior Core Engineer will troubleshoot technical issues, assist in the configuration and monitoring of network systems, and contribute to the implementation of advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking solutions. The role also involves collaborating with teams to improve system performance and ensure timely technical support.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Core Networks and Switching technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) and its application in networking.
• Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical network issues effectively.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience on Mikrotik is required. (Cisco, Arista, Fortigate will be to your advantage)
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS required.
• Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications are a plus.
