RPO Recruitments Client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Metallurgist Plant in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will to measure production process performance conduct tasks within metallurgical environment to enable efficient and costeffective production.

Responsibilities :

  • Process Theory Knowledge
  • Crushing screening conveying stacking and reclaiming gravity separation (Jigging) deslimes and degrid cyclones water recovery (thickeners) tailing disposal sampling dust suppression and extraction online analyser
  • Formal Technical Knowledge and Training
  • Process flow and instrumentation diagrams of the following production processes :
  • Bruce primary and secondary crushing
  • Overland conveyor and ROM stacking
  • Ongrade wash and screening
  • Offgrade wash and screening
  • Beneficiation
  • High pressure roller crusher
  • Product conveying and stacking
  • Process water and slime handling
  • Automated process control philosophy
  • Maintenance management
  • Diagnostic Quality
  • Root cause analysis report writing problem solving trend analysis
  • Management Knowledge
  • Middle Management Program
  • Finance for Nonfinancial Managers
  • Human Resources Management
  • Work Team / Individual Performance Management
  • Systems Knowledge
  • MS Office (advanced) JDE Risk Assessment Permits to Work MES Scada
  • SHERQ Knowledge
  • SHERQ Standards and Procedures Integrated Risk Management First Aid
  • Legal
  • Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation
  • Relevant COPs and knowledge of SAQA regulations

Requirements :

  • 5 years plus operational Mineral Processing experience
  • 1 years plus Team leader / Project leader / Supervisor experience in Mineral Processing
  • 2 years plus operational Gravity Separation Technology experience
  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6 in Metallurgy
  • Degree / BTech Degree (NQF Level 7 in Metallurgy
