Job Description

This is a remote position.

Our UK-based client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Controller to join their team, working remotely.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP / AR, payroll, and general ledger activities. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure strong financial integrity.

Partner with external auditors and tax professionals throughout audits and filings.

Support compliance with U.S. regulatory and reporting requirements (SEC, FINRA, etc., as applicable).

Provide senior leadership with meaningful financial analysis and strategic insights.

Oversee vendor contracts and assess their financial impact on the organization.

Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing scalable systems and process enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA(SA), CIMA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.

5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or controller-level role.

Experience in the financial services sector is strongly preferred.

Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS.

Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports.

Comfortable working independently in a remote, cross-border team environment.
