Reliability & Qualification Engineer

Introduction

We are seeking a Reliability & Qualification Engineer to strengthen our client’s Hardware Engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about testing the limits of technology and ensuring mission-critical systems perform reliably under extreme conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading qualification testing efforts, ensuring that developed units meet stringent defence and aerospace standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the execution of product qualification testing, working closely with technicians and engineering teams

Draft detailed qualification test procedures in compliance with relevant environmental and performance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704)

Manage readiness of test infrastructure and liaise with both internal teams and external testing facilities

Oversee and conduct qualification testing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete data collection

Analyse test results, identify root causes where issues arise, and provide engineering feedback to design teams

Compile and present comprehensive qualification test reports for formal review and sign-off

Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes

Travel to off-site testing facilities as required

Desired Experience and Qualifications

BEng or BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing, reliability, or qualification engineering

Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles

Hands-on experience with environmental and functional qualification testing methodologies

Familiarity with aerospace and defence standards, including DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-704

Ability to interpret and apply test procedures, reports, and technical specifications

Soft Skills

Ability to manage multiple testing cycles and deadlines simultaneously
