Our client, a leading supplier and manufacturer of packaging equipment and machinery for the Foods and Beverages Industries in South Africa and internationally, wants to appoint an efficient, self-motivated and experienced Financial Accountant at their offices in Paarl. The person will be responsible for the full accounting function up to Balance Sheet (including Fixed Asset Register) for local and foreign subsidiaries.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Full function to Balance sheet (including Fixed Asset Register) for local and foreign subsidiaries.
• Monitoring and reporting monthly management accounts for subsidiaries.
• Assist with the compilation of the Group’s annual budget.
• Assist the Financial Manager in other financial areas of the company.
• Collecting and analysing data, which will be used to provide information to other departments, enabling them to make informed budgeting, investment and / or cost decisions.
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering data and interpreting data.
• South African Reserve Bank applications and exchange control queries.
• Assist with annual year-end audit and statutory accounts.
• VAT returns and annual VAT reconciliations.
• Assist with Provisional and Annual Income tax returns.
• Assist with Income Tax and Company’s Act Compliance.
• Fleet Management.
