General Maintenance Assistant (Contract)

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and safety-conscious General Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and functionality of ikeja’s facilities and operational sites on a 3-month fixed-term basis. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, responding to minor repair needs, assisting with preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring our workspaces remain safe, clean and fully operational.

We are looking for individuals who are self-directed, practical, detail-oriented and comfortable working on the ground across the areas they support. You should take pride in your work, be eager to learn and be able to adapt to a variety of maintenance tasks - from basic plumbing and carpentry to painting, moving equipment and general site support.

As part of this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor. Your contribution will be essential to maintaining a professional, safe and efficient environment for both staff and visitors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Routine & Preventative Maintenance :

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify repair or maintenance needs.
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical fixes, door / lock repairs, shelving, furniture).
• Support preventative maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
