Head Guide

Set in Mpumalangas rugged terrain, this private game reserve offers a rare blend of biodiversity, geological wonder, and cultural heritage. It spans over 15,000 hectares of dramatic landscapes, rolling grasslands, towering mountains, and the winding Komati River.

Candidate Requirements :

• FGASA Level 2 or higher (or equivalent guiding qualification)
• ARH and valid PDP
• Valid First Aid certificate
• Minimum 5 years guiding experience, ideally in Big 5 territory
• Lead Trails Guide with all req. documentation advantageous
• Trackers and trailing skills highly valued (Trailing Level 2 or higher preferred)
• Strong hosting and guest engagement skills, especially with international clientele
• Experience in luxury lodge operations and guiding in high-end environments
• Deep understanding of ecology, conservation, and wildlife behavior
• Ability to interpret and share knowledge in an engaging, guest-appropriate way
• Comfortable leading bush walks, game drives, and specialist experiences
• Skilled in guest safety, vehicle maintenance, and equipment care
• Strong communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
