Job Purpose
Supports the efficient operation of the NOSA Print Room by assisting with the preparation, printing, finishing, and distribution of high-quality materials. Operates and maintains print equipment, ensuring timely and professional delivery of print jobs under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Print Operations
- Assist in operating and overseeing digital printers and finishing equipment (e.g. laminators, guillotine, wire punching & binding machines, perfect binding machine, digital printing presses).
- Monitor print queues, print quality, machines and proactively troubleshoot issues to maintain workflow continuity.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure print jobs meet established quality and company identity standards.
Pre- and Post-Production
Prepare files by checking formatting, resolution, and layout for print ready requirements. (Pre-press reproduction).Imposition files for printing of books, manuals, booklets, flyers, brochures, business cards, etc.Set up and load paper, toner, and other consumables.Trim, bind, collate, fold and package materials as per project specifications.Inventory & Maintenance
Monitor stock levels of paper, consumables, training material products, and other materials; alert manager when supplies need reordering.Assist with ordering of materials. (Requesting quotes from vendors, provide precise specifications) (Follow approved process to place orders, provide vendors with correctly formatted artwork)Liaise with vendors, and follow up on progress of orders.Arrange routine and non-routine maintenance / service and cleaning of equipment to reduce downtime.Log maintenance tasks and report technical issues promptly.Log service maintenance calls with vendors and liaise with technicians and engineers.Administrative Support
Assist with job requests, tracking progress, and managing deadlines using internal systems.Provide courteous support to staff and clients submitting print jobs, offering advice on best formats and finishes.Uphold confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive materials.#J-18808-Ljbffr
