Key Responsibilities

Financial Recording & Management

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions

Maintain comprehensive financial records in accordance with accounting standards

Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure data integrity

Process and manage creditors and debtors accounts

Daily Financial Operations

Process daily cashbooks and credit card transactions

Handle payment processing on both daily and monthly schedules

Manage VAT calculations and submissions

Maintain bookkeeping records up to trial balance level

Compliance & Reporting

Efficiently manage SARS eFiling submissions and tax compliance

Utilize Zoho accounting software for financial management

Ensure adherence to South African accounting principles and regulations

Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes

Additional Duties

Adapt to new responsibilities as the role evolves within our growing company

Support financial analysis and reporting for solar installation projects

Assist with budget preparation and financial planning

Contribute to process improvements and system implementations

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Competencies

Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes

Proficiency in bookkeeping up to trial balance

Experience with VAT calculations and South African tax requirements

Efficient use of Zoho accounting software

Proficiency in SARS eFiling procedures

Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
