Job description

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements :

Grade 12
Ability to work shifts and on weekends
The physical stamina necessary to stand for long periods of time and lift patients who need help moving

Duties

Identify and assess patients’ needs and ensure wellbeing is looked after

Ensure patients are transported to and from the department

Ensure you communicate with patients politely and pleasantly

Ensure timeous delivery of patients results

Assist the Radiographer, Sonographer, Nurse, or Dr with transferring patients from bed or wheelchair to the examination table and then back to the bed or wheelchair

Skills Required :

Time Management

Promote the highest standards of customer / patient care

Excellent communication skills

Ability to prioritise workload

Ability to work quickly and calmly during emergencies
