Education
- A financial qualification is essential (e.g. B Com finance, accounting, investment management)
- A Post Graduate diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) would be advantageous
- An Advanced diploma in Estate Planning would be advantageous

Responsibilities
Consolidate and summarize all policies and investmentsPrepare required financial calculationsHighlight the tax implications in the event of death or on risk benefitsPrepare comprehensive estate and risk analysesIdentify appropriate investment vehicles and structures to minimize estate dutyAssess the client’s capital and income needs in the event of death, disability, severe illness, or retirementDetermine potential capital and income shortfallsAnalyse the client’s estate and current investments, and recommend suitable investment vehiclesPeople
Liaise closely with all stakeholders (i.e. Wealth Planners / Financial Advisors, External brokers, Investment Consultants from Life and Asset Management Companies)Administration
Advise Wealth Planners on investment options and tax implications at deathDraft reports, including tax implications, calculations, estate plans, and annexures as instructed by the Wealth PlannerProvide additional assistance to Wealth Planners after the presentation of reports, when necessaryRecommend suitable products and investment structuresMonitor and track relevant legislation applicable to estate planningPrepare ad hoc risk cover reports when requested by the Wealth PlannerProcess
