Job descriptionDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and final outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate regular project meetings and status updates. Manage stakeholder communications and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle. RFP Management Define RFP scope, evaluation criteria, and timelines in collaboration with procurement and technical teams. Coordinate vendor engagement, proposal evaluation, and selection processes. Ensure alignment of vendor solutions with business and security requirements. Manage contract negotiations and onboarding of selected vendors. Risk and Issue Management Monitor and resolve project issues proactively. Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, POPIA). Team Leadership and Coordination Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support. Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture. Quality Assurance and Reporting Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions. Prepare and present project reports to senior management and governance forums. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM). 5+ years of experience managing IT or security-related projects. Experience with IAM technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, LDAP, IAG). Proven experience managing RFP processes and vendor engagements. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and enterprise security architecture. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence). Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
Overview
Our Company is looking for a Project Manager - Cyber Security to work at one of our Clients in Cape Town. 6 Month Contract and could be renewable. Rate : R 590 per hour.
Summary : As a Project Manager specialising in Security Projects, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives that strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture. This includes Identity and Access Management (IAM), compliance, risk mitigation, and other security-related programs. You will manage cross-functional teams, oversee project governance, and ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Cyber Security, Architecture, IT, Business Units) to gather requirements and align expectations.
Lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process for security-related solutions.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
C2 General
Lead cross-functional teams including business analysts, engineers, and vendors.
Ensure quality standards are met across all project deliverables.
