Purpose of the Role
To manage the financial reporting, consolidation, and oversight of multiple African subsidiaries, ensuring accurate group-level reporting and compliance across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate monthly and quarterly financial results for all African subsidiaries.
- Conduct on-site financial reviews, audits, and compliance checks across branches in Ghana, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Mauritius.
- Support local teams with financial guidance, training, and process standardisation.
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis for EXCO and Group Finance.
- Ensure alignment with group accounting policies and IFRS standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements and controls within each subsidiary.
- Travel across Africa (approximately two weeks per month) for reviews and support.
Requirements
BCom Accounting or Finance degree (SAIPA / SAICA articles highly advantageous).Minimum 5 years experience in financial reporting or consolidation, ideally within a multinational environment.Strong IFRS knowledge and group consolidation experience.Willingness to travel extensively into Africa.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration.#J-18808-Ljbffr
