This is a brilliant opportunity for a Junior BI DEVELOPER (0 – 2 years’ experience) to join a global INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT company and gain hands-on experience designing the data models, pipelines, and dashboards that power trading insights across international markets.

This Graduate BI Developer position is 100% remote, offering between R500K – R600K.

THE COMPANY

A Global Independent INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Company headquartered in London, with offices in South Africa. They provide a range of investment services to private clients, financial intermediaries, and institutions globally; and engineer Financial Trading Applications for the market – the tech team you will join are experts in designing and developing global FinTech products.

THE ROLE

This isn’t just another graduate reporting job where you churn out static reports. At this firm, you’ll be working directly with trading system data, trade executions, market data feeds, and portfolio positions, and turning it into real-time intelligence for traders, analysts, and portfolio managers.

You’ll learn how to build ETL pipelines that capture and transform trading data, design SQL-based data models optimised for performance, and create BI dashboards that surface trade patterns, risk exposure, and performance metrics. Mentored by senior BI Developers and Data Engineers, you’ll gain a unique foundation in applying BI to live trading environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• SQL skills gained through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau (academic projects count).
• An analytical mindset with a strong interest in financial markets and trading data.
• Curiosity about how data flows through trading systems and drives investment decisions.
