Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience :
Minimum of a NQF 6 qualification in the hospitality area of specializationScoped as a registered assessor for one of the institutional programme offerings2 years team management experienceMinimum 2 years lecturing experienceMinimum 5 years Culinary Arts experience as a chefKnowledge of academic compliance within the vocational educational sectorEssential Skills :
Proficient in computer software, apps, social media, and technology in generalStock control and inventory system proficiencyVocational, POE and practical assessment implementation and management skillsKey Responsibilities :
Manage the CA department provision and successResponsible for reporting on stock and inventory controlConduct lectures and practical kitchen sessionsResolve student / sponsor queries, tracking, counselling and supportContribute towards curriculum improvement and developmentApply assessment principles in line with the assessor code of conductInvite industry guest speakers and arrange excursionsInvolvement in professional development activities for self and staffResearch into industry trendsConduct induction and workplace foundation trainingRequirements
