Job description

Our client, an international manufacturer of electronic equipment for the industrial and commercial market is looking for a Technical Sales Representative. Business areas include Industrial Control, HMI’s Data Acquisition, Alarm Annunciation, Remote Monitoring, Wireless Telemetry, Nuclear and Cathodic Protection. The primary function is to generate sales of products for our client, using your knowledge of Instrumentation, SCADA, PLC, HMI, Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning, Industrial Networking and communications.

This role will require a home office set up in Gauteng.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Instrumentation or Electrical qualification
  • Currently selling in the Gauteng / PWV region
  • Min 5 years working experience in engineering
  • 5 years minimum product and applications sales experience and a proven sales track record
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation, SCADA, PLC, HMI and Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning Systems
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, experience with CRM
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive travel
  • Own vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Servicing existing clients
  • Meet annual targeted budget sales
  • Communicate and manage clients expectations
  • Creation of business relationships with end users and system integrators
  • Generate quotes, application proposals and initiate systems / project work
  • Interact with the projects team for projects opportunities
  • Interact with research and development for user requirements feedback
  • First line support of installed base of products
  • Interact with customers ensuring they are afforded the best possible service and delivery levels the company can provide
